NME main article analysis

NME uses pictures to show what is happening on each page/section of the magazine, the pictures that have been chosen are pictures of the main articles in each section of the magazine. The magazine seems to be well organised and put in a certain order with the main article’s picture being first, and the picture for live gig reviews being the biggest the magazine designers have probably done this because this the gig reviews are probably the thing that interests the target audience. The magazine is probably done in an organised way because its target audience is men.
The type of font used is a straight forward and simple text there are no fancy effects used this also shows that the magazine is for a mature audience. The colours used are orange; black and white this matches the fount cover which shows that this could possibly be the house style of this band as it is used throughout the article.
On the first page there is an article about the gig almost like a review, but when you turn over the page there is a break in the middle of the review and there is bit about a member of the band then there is the review continued then another piece about a member in the band. Under the review and pieces about the band there is a tour evaluation. This tells me that this magazine article is possible for readers that don’t like to just read the same thing for a long time as they might get board but it is also for an audience that likes to know what the band is thinking and what they are up two.
There are no promotional features used in this article showing me that this magazine’s aim is to maybe draw in a crowd that loves the band and not the free stuff that comes with them.
The logo is place at the bottom of the page by the page number and the date that the magazine was published the title of the magazine is also very small showing that it is not really important that the important thing is the band.
